  • I grew up with my younger sister, mom, and dad in the small town of Willows Ca. I’ve lived in many places (Texas and Vegas to name a few) but I now callChicohome, where I live with my husband Rudy and our five-year-old daughter.

  • I have been in the Hospitality industry for 27 years. I stared out waiting tables at 16 and began my professional career in Las Vegas at 24 years old . I spent the next 14 years asGeneral Manager/ training manager for restaurants, bars and night clubs/lounge spaces. My family and friends were the reasons, I left Vegas and returned to Northern California where I was the Food and Beverage Director At Butte Creek Country Club for 2 years and moved on to the BMU/Catering manager and then promoted to Director of Food Services at Chico State.

MEA DUCALE

Office Manager

  • I grew up in the picturesque coastal city of Santa Barbara, surrounded by the beauty of the sun and sea. After college, I moved to San Diego; eventually, my journey led me to Chico, where my husband accepted a position at the local hospital. In Chico, I devoted myself to my family, staying home to ensure my children thrived in school, sports, and various activities. Once my kids were flourishing in their pursuits, I transitioned to a new chapter, joining CESand bringing my energy, experience, andpassion to a new role.

  • My journey into events and hospitality began in San Diego, where I took on the role of Activities Director for the Irvine Company. Since then, I’ve embraced a variety of roles across numerous organizations, gaining valuable experience and contributing to event coordination in diverse settings.

  • Oh man, if I get on the dance floor it's usually for some 90's hip hop. Takes me back to the days when I thought I was a good dancer.

  • Usually, I try and be a health nut, but every once in a while I crave a Mexican pizza from Taco Bell. I can't believe I just admitted to that

  • Hands down a Tito's soda with lime, but recently I have been loving an extra dirty martini

  • I have been in the event industry for 6 years and I am still as excited for it since day 1.

  • Any 90s songs will do it. I love to dance.

  • A crunchy taco from Taco Bell.

  • Give me lemondrop any day.

DEBORAH MARTIN

Event Assistant

  • I grew up living in Northern California, spending my summers and winters on my Grandparent's farm in Oregon, but I found my home in Chico in 2013. My world revolves around my partner Brendan and our two, adorable, four legged babies (Mochi Mo and Korben Dallas).

  • From the moment I could help with events I did. My mother was very involved in community outreach in our hometown, and I always found myself helping with catering events or setting tables for local fundraising events. When I started with CES in 2021 I couldn't get enough. Being able to help make someone's event go smoothly, and allow them to be able to fully enjoy their evening without worrying about the (important) small details is what keeps me coming back for more every time.

  • I'm all over the board when it comes to the perfect dance floor songs. I love something to groove to. Give me some Whitney Houston, some Robyn, some Leon Bridges, but anything pop punk will always bring me to the dance floor. There is nothing better than when a DJ can just read the room. They'll play something I haven't listened to in years and all I want to do is belt it out with my favorite people.

  • I'm a salty, sweet girl. I love a good late night salted caramel ice cream cone, or cheese with crackers and some dried fruit.

  • With my partner of 10 years being a bartender, I can say that I've never had a cocktail I didn't like. I used to stick to the classics (Old Fashions and Negronis cannot be beat), but lately I feel like when I am with friends I love a bubbly water with a few dashes of bitters. Keeping it light and bubbly.

JORDAN COFFEY

Lead Coordinator

  • I grew up in so-cal, but have spent most of my life in Chico after coming here for college and meeting my husband.  We have 3 teenage kids that are always keeping us on our toes.

  • I have been in the event/hospitality industry for over 11 years now... I've also been working in education for the last 7 years, but will always love my time working in this industry and just can't give it up.  I love getting to be a small part in the most important day in a couple's life.

  • The song that always gets me grooving is "Low" by Flo Rida - which usually comes on towards the end of the evening when guests are all relaxed and having a great time.  It's typically when I'm feeling more relaxed too because my job is almost done!

  • My favorite late night snack is probably predictable... wedding cake!  If I get a chance to grab a slice I'm a happy girl.

  • My go to cocktail is a whiskey sour or vodka soda, but hey I'm always down for trying new things!
